Sudden Spoiling Mechanics

Re: Sudden Spoiling, before Indestructible became a keyword, it could remove an ability that said "CARDNAME is indestructible," as seen on Darksteel Colossus, but if the indestructibility was granted by another card's effect, such as Darksteel Forge, it would remain.

Self-Inclusive Protection

Almost all cards that grant hexproof or indestructibility to a type of cards don't include themselves, like Drogskol Captain and Knight Exemplar. These provide those 'shields down' moment you have talked about. What is your opinion on cards like Darksteel Forge and the new Avacyn that include themselves in their protection?

I feel like the former should be the default but it’s okay every once in a while to make the latter especially on very expensive cards which cannot come out until late game.
