Aggressive Mammoth

Keyword Template Rationale

Mark! Question! Why do keyword giving cards (Aggressive Mammoth for example) have the format of "keyword" "other creatures you control have keyword"? I would think that having a simple "creatures you control have keyword" would save space, and I'm sure you know this, but I'm curious why cards are worded the way they are.

The current template causes less confusion. When we used the second template, a non-insignificant number of players didn’t get that the creature itself got the bonus.

Creature Abilities Layout

Mark, why are the abilities of creatures that grant a keyword abilities always written as two parts (example: Aggressive Mammoth) when it would be simpler to have a card just say "creatures you control have trample"?

We’ve found it easier to track if we spell out the creature has the ability.
