Sundering Titan

Commander Game Dynamics

"The second I have to use words to convince you to not attack me, we’re in the realm of politics." I don't need a response, but I'll add one more voice to the apparent minority that can say, "I have never seen that happen in a game of Commander." The cards do the talking: "It would be stupid to attack into my Wrath on legs"; "I give out free card draws "; etc. But no one forgets it's every man for himself. The only time I hear talking is groaning about who will deal with Sundering Titan.

Groups can choose to make it less political. That doesn’t make it not a political format. The one Commander game I played in the last year just aired on “Extra Turns” and the only reason I wasn’t killed by Evan turns earlier was I convinced someone else at the table (Josh) to offer to take the attack.

Eldrazi Inclusion Criteria

"They (the big colorless ones - aka the most iconic Eldrazi) tend to need a decent amount of support and are hard to splash." While I get limited concerns stuff like Nicol Bolas, Conflux, Akroma, Plague Wind and Sundering Titan are similarly hard to cast and Chalice of the Void, Doomsday, and Blood Moon don't even do anything in limited. Personally, if Conflux can make it an Eldrazi should have been a high enough priority to also make it.

The problem is if we included everything that some players felt “must be included”, it wouldn’t all fit. It’s easy to look through the lens of “no, just this one thing” and find space, but that’s not the reality of how a set like Masters 25 is put together.

Does Sundering Titan have feet?

Yes, but they’re very ugly and Sundering Titan is ashamed of them.

Gatherer says Sundering Titan is EDH legal but it actually isn't.

I’ll mention it to the web team.
