Rukh Egg

Rukh Egg Reference

Would you ever print a card like Rukh Egg pre-rules clarification where it worked from anywhere? It's an interesting part of magic history that would be neat to reference, at least from an un-set.

Note that wasn’t the intent of the card, but bad templating. We have played around with graveyard triggers that work when coming from other zones.

Chicken and Egg in MTG

I have only one complaint about the :Which Came First" article from yesterday: You didn't take the perfect opportunity to ask "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"

Egg. Arabian Nights had Rukh Egg, but the first Chicken wasn’t until Unglued. : )

Hello, in the list of thing is ikoria, there is magic's seventh egg. Chicken egg, chimeric egg, darkwater egg, dingus egg, dragon egg, golden egg, mossfire egg, roc egg and rukh egg. That's already more than seven. Did I misunderstand what it meant, or did you mean nonartificial egg?

I meant creature type Egg.

Creature Type Vocabulary

"No, because we don’t use in game vocabulary and Dragon is a creature type." - My Rukh Egg strongly disagrees with your statement, considering the upcoming "Ham" & "Eggs" Block. It also feels forgotten, took me hours to console it. :-)

Egg is no longer a supported creature type.

What card has seen the biggest jump in rarity during a reprint?

There are numerous Arabian Nights reprints that went from common to rare (Rukh Egg and Wyluli Wolf are the ones that comes to mind.)

What are your thoughts on the card Rukh Egg? I've always thought it was really flavorful and cool.

I’m a big fan of Rukh Egg. I may have been the one responsible for getting it into Eighth Edition.
