Phyrexian Grimoire

Graveyard Order History

Tempest Block was indeed the last block to print cards that cared about graveyard order - Tempest had Corpse Dance and Phyrexian Grimoire, and Stronghold had Volrath's Shapeshifter (Exodus did not have any).

That was my memory.

Impact of Graveyard Order

FYI, there are a number of cards in eternal formats that care about graveyard order! It doesn't come up a lot, but Neratog, Bone Dancer, and Barrow Ghoul all care about the top creature cards of graveyards, and Phyrexian Grimoire cares about the top cards of your graveyard in general! So, in black border, graveyard order does matter!! (Admittedly I only know this bc someone I know plays Phyrexian Grimoire in their Commander decks!)

We can’t change the past, so yes, it matters, but we’ve chosen not to make it matter any more than it already does.
