Oathsworn Knight

Direct References on Cards

I don't think that familiarity is to do with the issue people have with You are already dead. I that stuff like enchanted carriage and Oathsworn Knight are acceptable because it feel like Magic is making its own interpretation of the thing that it's referencing whereas You are Already Dead feels like magic just quoting the source material

I think the audience is split between players who love direct references and ones who prefer it be less direct.

When the Oathsworn Knight loses a +1/+1 counter, is it, by chance, just a flesh wound? (After all, it does take FOUR hits to defeat...)

‘Tis but a scratch. : )

Black Knight Reference

Mark, is Oathsworn Knight a reference to the black knight from Monty Python? Seems too ccoincidental that he has 4 counters for 4 limbs, and can't stop attacking....

“Tis but a scratch.” : )

Is Oathsworn Knight getting what is usually a green ability a sign that you guys are looking for options other than indestructible to replace regeneration?

Temporary indestructible is the new regeneration.
