Colorless Creatures in Ikoria

As far as I know Ikoria features the first colorless living creatures that aren't Eldrazi (Farfinder, Adaptive Shimmerer and Mysterious Egg). All these seem rather green or white to me. Is there any flavor/lore reason behind them being colorless?

We wanted all decks to have access to them.

Colorless Nonartifacts in Ikoria

I noticed that Mysterious Egg has a collector number of 3. I assume this means we’ll be getting more colorless nonartifacts in Ikoria, but does it also signal the possibility of future (hopefully non-Eldrazi) ones, too?

It does mean more colorless cards.
