Exert Errata Discussion

New 20 Jun 2023 Asked by nutsofoden 35 Comments

""Are there any plans to errata, exert - put a stun counter on this creature?" "There are no current plans to do that."" - I would hope not, I do not want to suddenly have to worry about my opponents proliferating stun counters on my Glorybringer. It sounds like an errata that makes sense, but would change the functionality of the mechanic.

Change of functionality is the biggest issue.

Creature Interaction Logic

Hi Mark, I have a question! Why is it that a Glorybringer cant kill other Glorybringers but Hostage Takers can steal other Hostage Takers? Seems inconsistent to me.

Dragons are immune to the breath weapons of other dragons. Pirates are not immune to being kidnapped by other pirates. : )

Crested Sunmare Query

Isn't Crested Sunmare kind of big for a horse? It's a little immersion breaking that a horse can attack fearlessly into a Glorybringer.

It’s no ordinary horse.

Glorybringer Design Reason

New 25 Apr 2017 Asked by kobayashicircle-deactivated2019 45 Comments

Presumably the development reason for Glorybringer not hitting dragons was so that if both players have Glorybringer, it's not in favor of the second one coming in and killing the first.

Sounds right.

Digital Game Design

Glorybringer wouldn't kill itself due to misclicks in digital formats since it can only target non-dragon creatures thst your Opponent controls. Vorthos answer still works. :)

Good point. Perhaps it was our push to prevent Dragon on Dragon violence. : )

Dragon Targeting Logic

Why can't Glorybringer target Dragons? Can you ask a developer?

Mel answer: To avoid it accidentally killing itself due to a misclick in digital formats.Vorthos answer: Why would flame breath hurt Dragons?
