Cream of the Crop

Big Score Selection

So 30 mythics from the planned aftermath boosters became the Big Score, and Jace got rolled into the main set. What happened to the other 19 cards (assuming the aftermath set had 50 like MOM aftermath)?

We just chose the cream of the crop. The rest didn’t get used.

YMTC Submission Feedback

New 27 Apr 2013 Asked by eternalcheechako 4 Comments

People have been suggesting that my YMTC submission fails the "how do you feel when it is played against you" test. I didn't even know that was a thing, but it makes sense. Will you guys be outright rejecting cards that make your opponents feel bad, or is there the possibility of slight design changes to fix them?

We’re going to pick what we feel is the cream of the crop to let you all vote on. Part of making it to the final list is you doing something we feel the players would like. That’s the real test you have to pass.

Event Excitement

Hey MaRo! I have three things that I wanted to talk to you about today. First of all, I hope you are having a good day so far! Secondly, I wanted to say that I'm very excited for the midnight release that I'm going to tonight. I feel like the limited environment will be the best there has been in quite a few years. Finally, I was wondering if you have seen any interesting YMTC submissions thus far and how the selection process is going? Have a great day Maro and keep up the good work! :)

First, I’m having an excellent day. Second, we had our employee prerelease yesterday and it was tons of fun. I’m sure you will have a good time. Third, I haven’t seen any of it yet. I believe there’s a meeting next week where I will see the cream of the crop of what was turned in.
