Story Criticism Patience

"Let’s say you start with four zombies in play. In five turns with her ultimate, you have two hundred fifty-two zombies. That can’t defeat Emrakul?" Argh. Cthulu shouldn't be defeated by brute force tactics. Don't you see how bad this flavour is?

Why don’t we actually wait and see the story before criticizing it? : )

Brute Force Analysis

Why isn't Brute Force (the red equivalent of Giant Growth) an ideal red common? It's got the "temporary gain at long term cost" thing that red likes, so what's holding it back?

Two things. 1) Giant Growth is in green’s pie not red. 2) Red ’s boosts only boost power and not toughness. Every once in a while it will boost toughness but always at a rate where power is much higher (things like +3/+1).

Mill Strategy Colors

I've always been a fan of Mill as a strategy, but I've been wondering something recently. Why is it that Blue (the color of knowledge and intellect) gets the "brute force" milling effects like traumatize, while black (the "win at any cost" color) gets the precision milling effects like cabal therapy and surgical extraction? It seems like the styles should be flipped.

Blue overwhelms your mind while black destroys parts of it.
