Beacon of Unrest

Artifact Reanimation Bend

"Are creatures the only thing black can "reanimate" directly back to the battlefield? In pie, yes." Is Beacon of Unrest reanimating artifacts a big bend or a break?

The artifact part was a bend at the time, and is now something we’re opting not to do (at least two years in your future).

Black's Recursion Ability

Back in Fifth Dawn, black got Beacon of Unrest as a rare, which allowed it to recur artifacts. Then in Zendikar, black got Grim Discovery as a common, which allowed it to recur lands. Does this mean that black can recur more than just creatures? Or is it because Fifth Dawn was an artifact block and Zendikar was a land block? Because I really like at least the idea of "Black questing for forgotten artifacts of power" being used with it recurring artifacts.

When a set has a major theme in a certain area we will bleed certain colors a little to help each of the five colors get to play in the theme. That’s what was going on in the examples above.
