Half-Haste Interaction

FYI, in regards to the half-haste ask, Thousand-Year Elixir states, "You may activate abilities of creatures you control as though those creatures had haste."

Haste Ability Exploration

What about making the UR ability Haste? The cards could have tap abilities like looting, scrying, pinging etc, so it would work both for attacking and for activating abilities. (Haste for activated abilities only on Thousand-Year Elixir has always felt Blue to me)

We’ve examined that idea, but it’s hard to use it on blue creatures that can attack (power 1 or greater) as that feels antithetical to blue.

Potions as Artifacts

Seeing that Elixir of Immortality and Thousand-Year Elixir are artifacts, are all potions considered as artifacts? Could you, say, make a potion card type? Or is that a vorthos problem that's too much (melvin's) effort for what it's worth?

Potions are considered artifacts so no I don’t think we’re getting a spell type out of it.
