Profound Journey

Monowhite Card Consideration

New 20 Oct 2021 Asked by petruscaex 32 Comments

There is a monoWhite card that says "Return target permanent card from your graveyard to the battlefield": Profound Journey. We also have Emeria Shepherd that returns nonland permanents. More would be totally welcome for sure (:

A fine point.

White's Reanimation Capabilities

New 24 Sep 2019 Asked by greatdinn 34 Comments

White seems to get full reanimation, just not as often as black, and slightly more often with restrictions. Defy Death, Miraculous Recovery, Mistmoon Griffin, Karmic Guide, Profound Journey, Pulsemage Advocate, Resurrection, and Reya Dawnbringer gave no restrictions on creature returns.

White gets general reanimation infrequently, but multicolor usually doesn’t get to tap into tertiary abilities.

Color Pie Bends

New 06 Dec 2018 Asked by petruscaex 34 Comments

So both cards I mentioned before (Emeria's Shepherd, Profound Journey), along with Sun Titan, would be considered bends or breaks for White nowadays? I'm curious if there was a significant change on the Color Pie after Dragons of Tarkir. Was it... Sarkhan's fault?

They are bends now and were bends when they were made. Sarkhan changed nothing (color-pie-wise). : )

MonoWhite Reanimation Ability

We could see, color-pie wise, a monoWhite creature with the same reanimation ability of "Alesha, Who Smiles at Death"? Another question, is "return target permanent card from your graveyard to the battlefield" still on White? We had Emeria's Shepherd (BFZ) and Profound Journey (DTK) not so long ago.

Yes to the first question. It’s not monowhite to the second question.
