Orzhov Naming Logic

Why is the white-black guildmage named after their guild's bank and not their church (which was the last block's guildhall and still works)? Is it because Orzhova Guildmage was too close in name to Orzhov Guildmage?

If I know the Orzhov, I’m guessing their bank and their church are all part of the same organization.
