Hypersonic Dragon

Massive Magic Event

I was watching some new videos by LoadingReadyRun and noticed they have a poster sized Hypersonic Dragon, and it reminded me of a fun event that took place a while back at a big Magic event. Two players played a game with an entire deck of cards that were poster sized, and even used audience members as creature tokens. I can't recall exactly what it was called and have been fruitless in finding a video of the event. Please ask your other followers if they can point me in the right direction.

We call it Massive Magic and do it often at big events.

Ravnican Dragons Insight

If I remember correctly, the original Guildpact declared that Dragons were too powerful, and were to be hunted down and eliminated. Niv-Mizzet, as the Izzet Parun, was exempted from this, I'm sure, but we are told that Dragons, for the most part, are nearly extinct from Ravnica by the end of the Dissension And now, we see Hypersonic Dragon, a "primitive" version, as he says, but still looks like him. Is it simply a lesser dragon, or should I assume Mizzet used a Protean Hulk to make clones?

Never count dragons out.

Jace Character Fatigue

I have a serious case of Jace fatigue. 4 cards, plus all of the "Jace's Ingenuity" type reference cards, PLUS the fact that RtR is going to focus on him more has turned him into (for me, at least.t. I don't know if the rest of fans are in his fanclub), the Fonz. Cool when he's part of an ensemble cast, shark-jumping bad when he's the star. Would you please stick him in a dark hole for a few years once we're done with RtR? Also, thank you very, very much for Hypersonic Dragon and Unleash.

For a long time Magic had a problem of not having repeated characters that players could identify with. The creation of the modern planeswalkers (the ones the accompanied the creation of the planeswalker card type) was done so we could have consistent characters. Part of doing that is to keep bringing them back. We make new cards so that their play value will keep changing, but it’s important for the game to have characters that everyone recognizes.
