Civil Servant

Multicoloured Commons Design

New Capenna featured multicoloured commons, but they all leaned on the archetype mechanics heavily, like Civil Servant. Is there not a lot of design space for generic multicoloured common designs? Or has the approach to designing them changed?

New Capenna was a multicolored set.

Alliteration Interpretations

Should the reminder text of Treacherous Trapezist be treated as hard rules for alliteration, or just as a basic reminder? For example, Civil Servant would generally be considered alliterative while Citizen's Crowbar would not, despite the explanation in the reminder text.

It depends how rules compliant your play group is. If you were playing with me, I’d allow true alliteration as well as what the Trapezist defines, but technically it doesn’t follow the rules of the card.

Civil Servant Card Functionality

Hi Mark,

Just saw Civil Servant and thought it was odd that they get a bonus from a citizen but shouldn't it have been a Citizen lord? Civil Servants work for the people, not the other way around.

They work harder if there is a Citizen around. : )
