Unleash Mechanic Thoughts

How do you feel about how Unleash turned out? I think it's a solidly designed mechanic, fits the colors, but I feel it's a little boring and I wish it worked better with Hellbent (as Scavenge/Dredge, as Evolve/Graft work together). Chaos Imps and arguably Rakdos Cackler are the only cards that change dramatically with use of the mechanic. Can we expect more like that in the future, or is Unleash over and done?


If only there was a set coming out soon that used the guild mechanics of Return to Ravnica.

In a vacuum, getting a +1/+1 counter looks better than being able to block. Why did you feel you needed to further push Unleash's counter option with first strike in Carnival Hellsteed or trample in Chaos Imps? If anything, I'd think there would be a reward for not getting the counter.


If you think you’re always supposed to get the +1/+1 counter, you are in for some education when you start playing Return to Ravnica limited.
