Swords Cycle Birthday Trivia

Birthday trivia for the swords of x and y cycle?

The swords were not originally created to be a cycle, but once you make two of something, inertia kicks in and the audience will want the rest. The Sword of Fire and Ice was in the file for a while by itself. The Sword of Light and Shadow gotten added in later. The second sword is what I consider responsible for the cycle. Happy Birthday!

Meld for Ally Swords

Do you think Meld technology can help solve the power level issue with making ally colored swords? I.e. A sword of fire and a sword of ice that meld into a much more powerful sword of fire and ice?

I don’t think using Meld on a card that has to be attached to other cards is a great idea. #WotCStaff

Original Border Usage

Will the printing of cards in the original border ever come back with greater frequency than the occasional Judge promo? (ie sword of fire and ice) I can see why you'd never go back to it for a block, but what about a dual decks or premium series?

We do it every once in a blue moon as a promo variant but our current card frame is what we support and we plan to use it for our supplemental products.
