Sleight of Hand

Power of Blue Cantrips

These days, we are seeing a lot less blue cantrips with a strength level like brainstorm, preordain serum visions, sleight of hand, and so forth printed into standard. Has design determined that these effects are too powerful for limited, or is there a chance we could see cards like these in standard again

I believe play design is wary about them.

I'd like to remind everyone that there are plenty of other hidden things in names. For example, Myrmecology is the study of ants.

Xenograft is the grafting of one species onto another species.
Legerdemain is sleight of hand.
Cenobite is a member of a religious group living together in a monastic community.
Magic has a lot of advanced vocabulary in it. : )

Un-rules Clarification

Un-rules question: I control yet another aether vortex and the top card of my library has a tap ability. Let's call it sol ring. I tap it, then cast sleight of hand and put the tapped sol ring on bottom. Is it still tapped?

No, it’s tapped state goes away once it us no longer “on the battlefield” same as if you put it directly from the battlefield to the bottom of the library.
