Leatherback Baloth Trivia

First, thanks to you and all the people at Wizards! Then, april 3rd was my birthday...I wasn't able to ask in time, so I'm asking now. Could I get, please, a trivia on my favourite green creature ever, Leatherback Baloth? Thanks in advance and...long live green! :-)

Ken Nagle, the lead designer of Worldwake, loves big green creatures. I’m sure was this figuring out how to get the biggest possible three drop in green.Happy Birthday!

Designing Simple Cards

Cards like Leatherback Baloth or Watchwolf are only interesting because of their cost and stats - development stuff. What do cards like this look like in design?

We do cost things in design. They’re just not always the final cost. Our vanillas are usually pretty close because the development representative on the design team can usually price it correctly.

Overpowered Vanilla Creatures

I know Vanilla creatures care about not having any rules text, but what about undercosted Vanilla's like Wooly Thoctar or Leatherback Baloth. They don't have rules text, but their stars are above the curve. What are these kind of designs called?

Vanilla creatures. : ) It’s a design term which means power level has no relevance on it.
