Good catch.

Card Strength Consideration

Is Accumulated Knowledge too good for Standard/Pioneer/Modern? What about an instant speed version that only looks in your graveyard?

Not a play designer, but probably too good for Standard, and that’s assuming only looking at your graveyard, as that’s how we do effects like that now.

Kindle Cards Proposal

New 23 Oct 2012 Asked by sirjamez 2 Comments

Pleading again for the nth time: Can you please errata all "Kindle" cards to have their own subtype a la Arcane/Trap? And make them count all "Kindle" cards instead of just Life Burst/Aether Burst/Accumulated Knowledge/etc.... and as I'm typing this I realize that AK is the problem child and drawing 9 for 1U would probably cause problems :S But maybe the others can play nice and leave AK off in the wind??

What you are asking for is something we call “power errata” where we errata the cards so they function differently. We no longer do power errata so this request will not be possible.

Kindle Mechanic Revisit

New 01 Jun 2012 Asked by terraquat 5 Comments

Hey there! Do you think you will ever revisit the effect seen on cards such as Accumulated Knowledge or Flame Burst? I always thought that drawing 4 cards for 2 mana kinda because you got lucky was just cool. Really cool. I think they add something different to build around, and you could do just about anything with this effect! Just seems like a lot of room for expansion and I thought I would get your take on it. Do you like this effect? Hope it appears again? Or was it done away for a reason?

Ah, the Kindle mechanic (named after the first card to use the mechanic back in Tempest). I’m a big fan of the Kindle mechanic so I doubt we’ve seen the last of it.
