Eldrazi Draft's Possibility

New 14 Jul 2023 Asked by titania776 21 Comments

Is a set like Rise of the Eldrazi possible to do in the same vain as a Modern Horizons or Remastered style product? It seemed really popular within a subset but generally to much for casual players to relearn.

It’s more a question of if a supplemental product could make use of that kind of draft structure.

Ixalan Pronunciation

Looking for an honest answer. Why does everyone at WotC mispronounce Ixalan? I am going to launch a campaign to pronounce it properly as 'eesh - uh - lahn' because it's obviously a plane inspired by Pre-Columbian culture.

We’re not mispronouncing it. It’s a fictional world we created and named. Why don’t we pronounce it as it would be pronounced in the culture that inspired the setting? Because consistency of pronunciation is important. We try to use the same phonemes for all names so that players can learn how to pronounce them without having to constantly relearn how different letters and combinations are pronounced.

Zombie Token Variety

While I like the zombies, some variety would be nice. At least some more kinds of zombie tokens besides the common 2/2 and occasional */*.

Consistency of token types makes environments easier to play. If certain creature types are all over the map it forces you to have to relearn them every time you play with them.
