Wall of Frost

Card Type Rationale

Why is Wall of Frost a creature, Glacial Fortress a land, and Frozen Aether an enchantment and yet they are all depicting more or less similar things (masses of ice)

There’s a bunch of grey area in creative concepting.

Elemental Color Discrepancy

New 22 Mar 2015 Asked by emu-on-the-loose 23 Comments

You said today that the element air is blue while the weather is green, but a while back when somebody brought up Wall of Ice you said that it should have been a blue card since blue is the color of water and ice. Clearly, though, glaciers are a force of nature and a product of climate and weather and natural forces, and so what you said today is more correct. Thus, not counting the "no untap" rider, it's cards like Wall of Frost that are in the wrong color--not Wall of Ice. Aha! =P

Walk of Ice is a wall of frozen water. Blue is the color of water and cold. It should be Blue.

Wall of Frost Query

So Wall of Frost isn't counted as a blue creature?

Not for creature count purposes design/developmentwise.

Color of Walls

New 11 Nov 2013 Asked by orlouge82 12 Comments

Wall of Frost is blue, but Wall of Ice is green. Could Wall of Frost have been blue, or was Wall of Ice a mistake to print in green?

Wall of Ice, the name, should have been blue. It was a mistake to have it in green.

Invisible Stalker Logic

Why is Invisible Stalker unblockable by walls? Being invisible doesn't mean you can go through a Wall of Frost!

Because simplicity trumps covering every flavor angle.
