Planeswalking Mechanics

When Planeswalkers spark initially, they walk to a random plane they have no previous knowledge of… is that something they can later replicate on purpose? Like, can Jace decide he wants to see somewhere new and just pop up on a Plane he’s never heard of?

We’ve never officially said. I’ll give you my head canon. Note this isn’t official. There are three types of planeswalks:1) Blind jump - This is what happens when you spark. Blind jumping is super dangerous. 2) Jump to known plane - When you visit a plane or are from there, you can manabond with it, which allows you to consciously planeswalk there. 3) Follow another planeswalker - When another planeswalker planeswalks, you can follow them. This is why planeswalkers want to befriend other planeswalkers, so they can learn more worlds they can safely travel to.
