Hythonia the Cruel

Legendary Status Explained

Obviously, many creatures are made legendary due to their importance in the story. But what about those who we know close to nothing about lore-wise (some recent-ish examples that come to mind are Hythonia the Cruel; King Macar, the Gold-Cursed; Thada Adel, Acquisitor; Wrexial, the Risen Deep, etc.). Are those cards made legendary just because of the "coolness factor?"

They’re made legendary because they’re unique characters.

Theros' Tribal Support

With more and more gorgons and hyrdas appearing in Theros, will there be a chance of either or both of these creature types getting a lord? Or will minotaurs be the only group to receive a lord in Theros?

Theros block will have some other tribal love, but minotaurs get the most. Note that I think Hythonia the Cruel is Gorgon-tribal friendly because she doesn’t kill other gorgons.
