Free-Range Chicken

Free-Range Chicken Interpretation

New 06 Mar 2020 Asked by drclipper-blog 25 Comments

If Look at Me, I'm R&D is used to change 'two' to 'three', then how do we interpret the word 'both' in the ability of Free-Range Chicken which now starts with "Roll three six-sided dice. If both results are the same..."? Are two of the three dice matching enough or do all three need to match?

All three dice would need to match. Both essentially means “all” in this case.

Errata to Birds

Wait, Flavor Judge is a Bird, not a Chicken? I also notice Poultrygeist, Free-Range Chicken, and Chicken à la King are reprinted, but not Mesa Chicken. Trying to keep Chickens from being spread across 4 colors?

Chickens have officially all been errataed to Bird. That means Chicken-a-la-King ( which is in Unsanctioned) just got a lot stronger.

Free-Range Chicken Text

Wasn't Free-Range Chicken's reminder text erroneous? If I roll two 3 again this turn, I don't sacrifice it, right?

No, you would sacrifice it. If you roll the same total you’ve already received liked this turn, you sacrifice it. Roll double there’s twice and you would have to sacrifice it.
