Due Diligence

Bringing Back Old Mechanics

If Champions of Kamigawa block's mechanics were so disliked, why did you feel the need to bring one of them back? Couldn't you have just made a set that had only new mechanics?

That was definitely an option, but since we were returning, we felt we should do due diligence. Channel ended up allowing us to keep the as-fan of artifacts and enchantments up while still having the necessary amount of spell effects.

Acknowledging an Oversight

Mr Rosewater I asked you a question and I did try to find the answer on my own but ended up coming up short so I asked you on here. (It was about Socketed Sprocketer.) I didn't know there was a FAQ but now I found it. Not that you care but you seem like a person who cares so I just wanted to apologize for lack of due diligence on my part and to say thank you and have a good day.

Thank you for apologizing. I don’t get a lot of that. : )

Blue and Democracy

Why does Blue like Election Day? Blue doesn't believe in democracy. Blue thinks some people are just smarter and more enlightened than others and that their voices should count more. A system where everyone gets an equal say in how things are is repulsive to Blue.

Finding a holiday blue liked was tricky. I chose Election Day because it required research and it was society trying to perfect itself. Note Black is more about merit than Blue. Also, blue doesn’t mind democracy if everyone does their due diligence in being informed.
