How important are cycles when making a set? If you have a cool unique mechanic - like, say, Retreat to Emeria - would you definitely try to make it a cycle for all the colors, or would you be comfortable printing it on its own? ("You" as in the whole design team)


Really important. Cycles are a key part of structuring a set and cementing themes. It’s also a good tool to help cut down on complexity.
