Hand to Hand

Minotaur Representation

New 13 Jun 2016 Asked by sukusuku-hakutaku 47 Comments

The new art for Carbonize has a minotaur being killed gruesomely. In addition, they are the victim in various other cards, including, but not limited to, Anchor to the Aether, Razor Boomerang, Ghostly Prison, Serra Bestiary, Smite, Backslide, Fleeting Distraction, Void Snare, Dark Betrayal, Hand to Hand, and Lightning Blast. Whenever it's a minotaur, it almost feels like it goes further than normal. Minotaurs themselves are an infrequent creature type. Is there a reason to the disparity?

Minotaurs just take abuse well. : )

Italian Translation Issues

Here is another curiosity on the Italian version of mtg: the cards "melee" (ice age) and "hand to hand" (tempest) were both translated as "Corpo a Corpo", meaning there is actually two different cards with the same name, at least in Italian. =)

Infect Deck Performance

"there is not tournament evidence poison is all that strong overall" Crealy youre forgetting the "warm in your heart" you had when an infect list won whatever tournament i cant remember. Infect is one of the most stupid decks in modern, hand to hand with affinity for instantfastaggro. Broken? I dont know. OP? yes.

Infect decks have won a few tournaments here and there. That’s why I called it a Tier 2 deck. It has never been a consistent winner though.
