Why does Fall of the Hammer have the creature just deal damage instead of having them fight?

Because it’s not a fighting card, it’s a direct damage card using power to set the amount of damage.

Have you guys already gotten rid of Fight so soon after it was introduced? A couple of cards in BNG (Fall of the Hammer, Culling Mark) seem like they want to be Fight cards but are way better or worse (respectively) than other recent Fight cards (Pit Fight, Time to Feed). Or is this just a really rapid swing in the Power Pendulum?

Fight hasn’t gone anywhere. We still use it.
